Tom Cable Interview

Tom thought the last six weeks of the season got him the Raiders job, when the team played tough for him and particularly, knocked Tampa Bay out of the playoffs.

Cable was very thankful for Mr. Davis, who not only gave him time to grieve over the recent loss of his father, but has also allowed him to assemble his own coaching staff.

He’s gotten some great feedback from his players, many whom were ecstatic hearing he officially got the job as the head coach.

Tom thinks the key to building a team is to find unselfish players and build the right team. He hopes Nnamdi Asomugha will be part of that, as he’s an unrestricted free agent.

He loves the Raiders wide receivers, particularly Johnnie Lee Higgins and Chaz Schilens. They’re young, but he thinks they have some huge potential, especially with JaMarcus Russell throwing them the ball.
