Tony and the crew enjoyed a Red Wine Friday. The wine was flowing and so was the Pete Carroll talk. With the Seahawks firing Jim Mora Jr, a rumor circulating that Pete was leaving USC to take over as head coach in Seattle. FOX NFL Insider, Chris Landry talked with Pete Carroll then joined Tony with the latest. Chris reported that the rumors were true, the CEO of Seahawks, Ted Leweki, meet with Pete last week and will meet again this weekend. Barring a disaster in talks, Pete Carroll will be the new head coach of the Seattle Seahawks in a deal with $7 million a year.
The NFL Playoffs kick-off on Saturday with two great Wild Card games: Jets-Bengals and Eagles-Cowboys. NFL Network Insider, Jason LaCanfora, stops by to preview all the games and has all the latest news/notes from the National Football League, including the coaching situation in Seattle.
