Tony is back and fired-up for the start of 2010…
It was “Black Monday” in the NFL as several teams fire their head coaches. In Washington, the Redskins say so long to Jim Zorn after a disappointing 4-12 season. Reports already that Mike Shanahan is in talks with owner Daniel Snyder to take over as head coach in D.C. Tony talks about that and other NFL news with former Redskins great LaVar Arrington.
It’s the off-season in Major League Baseball, but Tommy Lasorda is fired up. The Dodgers Hall of Famer Manager was listening ton Tony on KLAC in Los Angeles and called-in to voice his opinion on NFL teams ‘sitting” players in the final regular season games.
The College Bowl Season rolls on, as Boise State beats TCU 17-10 in the Fiesta Bowl. The Broncos finish the season 14-0, but have nothing to show for it because there is no playoff system in College Football. The BCS Title Game is Thursday with Alabama v.s. Texas.
Some big news off the court in college hoops with USC placing sanctions on its men’s basketball team. No post-season play for the Trojans, as the school punished it’s hoops program for recruiting violations involving former player O.J. Mayo. CBS Analyst, Seth Davis drops by with his thoughts on the USC sanctions and the arrests of 4 Tennessee basketball players over the weekend.
